Fines for Failing to Comply
From the 1st of July in 2021, when a brand new, renewed or varied tenancy is signed on a Silverstream rental property, all Healthy Homes compliance items must be finished within 90 days.

The person responsible to pay this fine is the one who is listed on the tenancy contract as the person leasing the property out It could also be the name of the landlord or the company that manages the property.
The information contained in the Compliance Statement needs to be up-to-date before the tenancy agreement can be completed, and should be kept updated throughout the duration of the tenancy when any associated work has been completed.
It’s also important to remember that a landlord who manage multiple rental properties could face more severe penalties for not complying. The most severe penalties are given for severe violations. Those who have six or more properties can be fined up to $50,000, and even as high as $100,000 for hearing claims.
